Tsubaki is located at Oku-Yugawara within the Fuji Hakone Izu National Park. Each season overlays a new patina on the serene beauty of the surrounding country. This striking beauty is found within an hour from the heart of Tokyo.

The main gate, known as Kabukimon, welcomes you as prelude to your peaceful visit. The Kabukimon, as well as the cottages of Tsubaki, are built in the Sukiya-zukuri architectural tradition--characterized by delicate sensibility and ornamented simplicity. The Sukiya style is centered on the tea ceremony.
